In short: this website has no accounts, forms, cookies or ads. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs so the site can run securely. We use your device type to send you to the right app store, and we count visits anonymously, without cookies and without storing your IP address.

This policy covers the website at palmsee.io and www.palmsee.io (the "Site"), run by Deardin, LLC ("we", "us"). It does not cover the PalmSee app, which has its own App Privacy Policy, or the Deardin website, which has its own privacy policy.

What the Site doesn't collect

• No accounts, sign-ups or contact forms.
• No cookies, and nothing is stored in your browser.
• No scripts that track you, no advertising and no social media plugins.
• Fonts and images are served from this Site, so your browser doesn't contact Google or any other third party when you load a page.

Server logs

The Site is hosted by Vercel. As with any website, when your browser requests a page, Vercel receives standard technical information: your IP address, browser and device type (user agent), the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time. Vercel processes this to deliver the Site and protect it from abuse, and keeps it for a limited period under its own policies. We don't use it to identify you, build profiles or advertise to you.

Sending you to the app store

When you visit on a phone or tablet, the Site reads your browser's user agent to tell whether you use iOS or Android, then sends you to PalmSee on the App Store or Google Play. This check happens as the page is served. We count which store you were sent to as part of our visit statistics (see below). Once you're on the App Store or Google Play, Apple's privacy policy or Google's privacy policy applies.

Visit statistics

To understand how people find PalmSee, our server records each visit to the Site with PostHog (servers in the United States). Nothing runs in your browser for this. The server sends PostHog:

• the page you visited, including any campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source), and the site that referred you;
• your device's operating system and type (for example iPhone, Android phone or desktop), and whether you opened the link inside an app such as Instagram;
• your approximate location at country and region level, looked up by Vercel;
• whether you were sent to the App Store or Google Play;
• a visitor code that changes every day. It is made by combining your IP address and browser details with a secret value and scrambling them one way, so it lets us count unique visitors per day but can't be turned back into your IP address or used to recognise you on another day.

Your IP address itself is never sent to PostHog or stored by us. When a messaging app such as iMessage or WhatsApp fetches a page to show a link preview, we also record which app it was, to estimate how often links are shared. We use these statistics only to understand and improve how people find PalmSee, never for advertising, and we don't combine them with data from the PalmSee app or anywhere else.

The Site links to the App Store, Google Play and Deardin's website. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we don't control.

Where information is processed

Vercel may process server logs in the United States and other countries where it operates, and PostHog stores visit statistics in the United States. Their privacy policies describe the safeguards they use for international transfers.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information about you, or to object to how it's used. Because the Site keeps no accounts or cookies, and visitor codes change every day, we usually can't link server logs or visit statistics to you. You can still contact us, and we'll help as far as we're able. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
